Hiking in Alaska...
Alaska is a wilderness without any trails. You will hike through bushes, ford rivers, ascend steep mountains, and cross boulders, possibly in the rain! With so many obstacles, hiking in Alaska is slow-going and strenuous. One mile may feel like three! Good physical fitness is necessary. Some backpacking experience is recommended, though not required.
