The Lamplighters Adventuring Society

A Life-Changing Journey Awaits

Here’s what people are saying…

Meet Your Guide, Jesse

Owner, The Lamplighters Adventuring Society

Stationed around the world with a Marine Corps dad, Jesse was born into action.

Jesse was a hiking guide in Upstate New York, a sea kayaking guide in the Prince William Sound, and a fly-in backpacking guide in the Alaskan backcountry. In Utah, he led teenage boys through a therapeutic wilderness program. He even hiked all 2,650 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail!

Jesse feels right at home in the wild. Talk to him about Russian novels and scary movies, or ask him to entertain you with his storytelling skills!

My Mission

Embrace challenges as opportunities, become vulnerable in the face of nature’s vast wisdom, and discover each secret of the universe.

Explore a deeply personal, internal journey that will leave you forever changed.

– Jesse Dunlap, Owner

Small groups and a supportive guide promote a strong bond between clients. We often keep in touch back in the real world.

Set your intentions in your personal adventure journal. Receive space for peaceful reflection. Join wild game nights, jump into lakes, and come together in heartfelt campfire chats.

Our focus on mindful discovery with a personal touch leaves clients feeling rejuvenated, wise, and confident.

Client safety is our top priority.

Your guide has extensive knowledge of wilderness routes and natural history and is certified as a Wilderness First Responder and in CPR. Each group is stocked with a first aid kit and GPS communication device.

Your skilled and trustworthy guide is also a fun-loving, attentive leader. When you travel with The Lamplighters Adventuring Society, you are in safe and friendly hands!

We may be in the wild, but that won’t stop us from providing you with the most high-quality gear and food available.

Each trip has a custom menu based on your personal preferences and made with surprising ingredients. Home-cooked comfort is imperative out on the trail.

Clients use lightweight tents and group gear that has been cleaned and kept in tip-top shape. Rest assured that you will receive a smooth and comfortable experience.
